Grant for the project ‘The Philosophy of science in a European Perspective’, European Science Foundation. The project leader is Gereon Wolters. [This is a large project which is divided into five subprojects. I am a member of the subproject that is dedicated to the philosophy of physics.]

Prizes

2006

The paper 'The Biomechanical Influence of Tibio-Talar Containment on Stability of the Ankle Joint' that I co-authored with A. Frigg (first author), O. Magerkurth, V. Valderrabano, H.-P. Ledermann and B. Hintermann won the 2006 'Award for Best Paper in Ligament and Biomechanics' of the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy. My contribution to the paper consists in the biomechanical models; my co-authors are responsible for the gathering of the clinical data and the statistics.

Elected Member of the Schweizerische Studienstiftung (the national society for the support of gifted young people).
